Well, hello there!
I recently had a blast photographing Answered Prayers Project First Annual Block Party Fundraiser, held at Answered Prayers Studio in the Arts District of beautiful Downtown St. Pete. It was a good sized event with roughly 100 attendants, including men and women, children, business people in the community and Tampa's own Big Nasty!
Elizabeth Bunbury, who started Answered Prayers Project says the best thing about her experience having her event photographed is being able to look back at the pictures of the night and see all of the smiling faces and precious moments that happened while she was busy doing other things.
All of the attendees showed up with lots of spirit and enthusiasm (as you can see above) ;). The theme was a Block Party - so things were casual and comfortable! There were plenty of things to do inside from bidding on Silent Auction items donated by some amazing local businesses, crosses painted by local celebrities, a design and painting station, and a Build Your Own Burger & Dog setup. Outside, there was a great local band, a Smores station, an open bar, lawn chairs to relax in and hula hoops to play with. There wasn't a lack of things to do that's for sure!!
As is customary during any Answered Prayers Project Events, there was a prayer circle with prayer led by Elizabeth Bunbury, the founder of APP, to thank God for everyone there, those who couldn't be there, for all of His many blessings for the event and all He is doing through APP. Elizabeth said the Prayer Circle and seeing all of the hands linked together was one of the most memorable moments of the night.
So much of what Answered Prayers Project is about is building relationships, which often comes while creating or painting a heart, angel or cross. This evening was no different, and wouldn't be APP without a station of the cross :)
I was glad to have been there for all the excitement and happy to share some of that excitement with you here. Hope you enjoy the pictures and the video of the highlights of the event!!
